John, isn't it just this simple. Sometimes we get so hung up on the non-essentials in the sale and forget this is all about dealing with change. By putting it back to the prospect it makes selling so much easier and less stressful.

...now getting to the prospect is no longer as simple as it used to be.

I'd prefer to not refer to "good discovery" as luck. Luck is something you have no control over. Practising and delivering good discovery questions is a purposeful behavior that can be delivered with consistency. Give yourself more credit, there is no "luck" in a deliberate action!
